Privacy Policy

tl;dr

  • This is a static site. No accounts, forms, analytics, ads or trackers.
  • Cloudflare serves the site and sees the usual request data (IP address, URL, browser). I have not turned on logging or analytics.
  • Your theme choice is stored in your own browser. It never reaches me.
  • If you email me, I keep the thread only as long as the conversation is useful, and I do not share it.
  • I do not sell or share personal data. Email me to ask what I hold about you or to have it deleted.

Who I Am

I am Joshua (Josue) Andujar, a private individual living in Florida, USA. josue.codes is my personal portfolio. For the data described here, I am the controller under the GDPR.

What This Site Is

josue.codes is a static website. There are no accounts, forms, comments, newsletters, payments or ads. I have not enabled any analytics. You do not need to give me any personal data to use the site.

Data Processed When You Visit

Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) serves and protects the site. To do that, it processes the technical data every web request carries: your IP address, the URL you requested, the time, your browser’s user agent and similar request headers. I have not enabled request logging or analytics, so I do not keep records of individual visits. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in delivering the site and keeping it secure (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). This data is needed for the site to load at all.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, and only if one of its protection checks is triggered.

If you change the color theme or switch between light and dark mode, your browser saves that choice under the localStorage keys palette and mode. It is never sent to the server and holds no personal data. If you make no choice, nothing is stored. The Cookie Policy has the details.

If You Email or Call Me

If you write to me, I receive your email address and whatever you send, including attachments. If you call, I see your phone number. I use this only to reply. My email is hosted by Apple iCloud. I keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for the conversation, and I do not share it.

Legal basis: steps you ask me to take, or my legitimate interest in replying to you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). Contacting me is optional.

Data Outside the EU

I live in the United States, and both services above are US companies, so data from EU visitors is processed in the United States. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Apple describes the safeguards it uses for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses, in its privacy policy.

What I Do Not Do

I do not sell or share personal data, use it for advertising, profile anyone or make automated decisions. The site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me what personal data I hold about you or ask me to delete it. Email josue@josue.codes.

If you are in the EU, you also have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form, under the conditions the GDPR sets. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

The site has plain links to LinkedIn, GitHub and my email address. Nothing loads from those services on this site. If you follow a link, their own privacy policies apply.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top.
